Who is responsible for handling my information? How is my information being handled?

Rigicon consists of several companies around the world. Rigicon is responsible for handling your information, and Rigicon company that will handle your information might differ according to your country/region.

To this effect, the Parties have entered into an arrangement pursuant to Article 26 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) by which the main responsibility for obtaining consent correctly, i.e., for the validity of consent, lies with the obtaining local Rigicon entity in collaboration with Rigicon, Inc. HQ and your local Rigicon entity share the responsibility for keeping data updated. Rigicon, Inc. will eventually delete or anonymize data. The responsible Rigicon companies for the relevant consent options are listed below. In respect of the consent you give, “Rigicon” is the responsible data controller.

In most cases, when you reach out to Rigicon, we will mainly process your data based on a contractual relationship between you and Rigicon. However, as we may process information about your medical situation (personal information), we also need your consent for processing orders or sample requests and providing you with support services.

Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Compliance

Rigicon is committed to ensuring the privacy and security of health information and complies with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Rigicon adheres to HIPAA’s Privacy Rule, which protects the privacy of individually identifiable health information, and the Security Rule, which sets national standards for the security of electronically protected health information.

Information Collection and Use

The information Rigicon may collect depends on the service(s) you have signed up for and the consent(s) you have given. This information includes personal details such as your name, address, date of birth, gender, contact information, and other information you may share with Rigicon.

Rigicon shares this information with third parties acting on Rigicon’s instructions, Rigicon-affiliated companies, and healthcare professionals when necessary for processing your support requests and associated services. Rigicon does not sell or share your information with third parties for their own purposes.

This information is processed to comply with contractual obligations and on the basis of your consent, as stipulated in the EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) and HIPAA where applicable.

Rigicon keeps this information as long as the user’s consent applies. Data will be deleted if a user withdraws consent or if no interactions between the user and Rigicon have taken place within the preceding three years.

Compliance with the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA)

Rigicon, Inc. adheres to the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA), which mandates commercial websites and online services to feature a clearly visible privacy policy. CalOPPA’s provisions extend beyond California, obliging entities operating websites that collect Personally Identifiable Information from California consumers to conspicuously display a privacy policy stating the type of information being gathered and the third parties with which it is shared.

In compliance with CalOPPA, Rigicon, Inc. agrees to the following:

  • A link to this Privacy Policy, containing the word ‘Privacy,’ is easily accessible and is featured on our homepage or on the first significant page upon entering our website. 

Rigicon, Inc. is committed to keeping you informed of any changes to this Privacy Policy. In the event of any updates to this Privacy Policy, the date of the most recent changes will be clearly displayed at the top of the Privacy Policy page for visitors’ reference.

Dispute Resolution and Limitations of Liability

You agree that Rigicon, Inc. shall not be responsible or liable for the result of your use of the Service. In the event of any dispute, you understand and agree that Rigicon, Inc. is under no obligation to become involved in such dispute, and you hereby release and indemnify Rigicon, Inc.,  from any and all claims and/or demands (actual or consequential) of every kind or nature, known or unknown, suspected and unsuspected, disclosed or undisclosed, arising out of or in any way related to such disputes or the Service or the features and services therein.
