Abstract Short Summary
Abstract
Objective:
To develop an international expert consensus on surgical principles and clinical recommendations for the implantation of inflatable 3-piece penile prostheses.
Key Findings:
Patient selection, infection prevention, and surgical technique are critical for IPP success. The Infla10® by Rigicon is identified as a newer-generation device. The consensus includes practical guidance for complex cases such as patients with fibrosis, diabetes, or undergoing transgender phalloplasty.
Conclusion:
IPP surgery is effective and durable when evidence-based practices are followed. Proper surgeon training, perioperative care, and patient counselling are essential to minimize complications and improve satisfaction.
Clinical Relevance:
These consensus guidelines fill gaps in surgical standardization and improve patient outcomes in IPP surgery, especially relevant for newer implants like Rigicon’s Infla10® series.
