Abstract Short Summary
Abstract
Objective:
To present a non-degloving surgical approach to the sliding technique for penile prosthesis implantation in patients with severe PD and ED, aiming to reduce ischemic risk.
Key Findings:
Of the 39 patients treated, 11 underwent the sliding technique, with 9 using a non-degloving ventral incision. This approach resulted in a mean penile length gain of 2.47 cm, with minimal residual curvature and no vascular complications reported.
Conclusion:
The non-degloving approach to the sliding technique is a feasible alternative for patients with severe PD and ED, potentially reducing ischemic complications while maintaining surgical effectiveness.</p>
Clinical Relevance:
This study supports the non-degloving method as a safer surgical option in penile prosthesis procedures, offering both penile length restoration and reduced risk of glans ischemia.
